fe3 consulting unveils “brand art”
A new approach to the portrayal of a company's brand values has been unveiled by leading brand and management consultancy, fe3 consultingconsulting ( 14 November 2003 , London ).
Billed as “brand art” the consultancy has commissioned Liverpool born textile artist Beryl Cross , to interpret fe3's brand values and the result is revealed in a textured work of art entitled “Unseen Force”.
The concept of brand art appears to be relatively unknown in the UK , although the term was first introduced at the Prague Biennial 1 contemporary art exhibition earlier this year.
Karen Drury , partner at fe3 consulting said:
“We wanted something that conveyed who we are and, more importantly, communicated our core process of Corporate Magnetism, which is the essence of what we do,”
Ms Drury continued:
“The result is an abstract, modern piece of embroidery which illustrates the patterns of magnetic flow from the sun through a range of embroidery and appliqué techniques and a wide range of silks, voile, beads and thread. The building of the piece captures the way in which we try to work – building gradually on the existing strengths of clients, making links and patterns to create a powerful and new force,”
The commission took three months to develop and execute and now is featured prominently in the company's new offices in Farringdon.
Mrs Cross said:
“I was thrilled when Karen asked me to undertake this commission. I initially looked at fe3 consulting 's web site to see whether I could get a feel for the company's approach to management consultancy and, from that, develop an appropriate concept. Utilising some of the colours and images I decided I would base the commission on magnetism in space and more specifically the Sun.”
She added: “The title of the finished work signifies, I hope, the effect fe3 consulting has on its clients' business, changes are not necessarily dramatic in themselves, but in combination, their effect is spectacular and irresistible.”
The art-work will be launched at fe 3 's offices on 13 th November at a private ceremony.
Beryl Cross has been involved with stitching since the age of five. She is currently studying City and Guilds Diploma in Design and Craft and is a member of the Embroiderers Guild. She is a founder member of the Derbyshire based group “InSPIREation 21” who are at present working towards their spring exhibition. Beryl also undertakes private commissions for clients.
fe3 consulting
fe3 consulting is a partnership formed by Karen Drury and Gary Saunders , and with a growing list of associates. It specialises in helping companies and corporations keep their promises to their publics, which are often expressed through their brand or their brand values.
fe3 consulting has a wide range of skills and expertise, which covers working in both private and public sectors. The consultancy develops bespoke programmes, which are research-led (and often incorporate its proprietorial Corporate Magnetism model – see below). fe3 consulting works with - rather than simply for - clients, and the partners have a sound understanding of academic and practitioner best practice.
The partners believe that:” Life is too short to be miserable at work – so we try to make working with us fun. Not unchallenging, not easy – but certainly fun”.
Corporate Magnetism is a measure of how companies keep their promises and is directed through the organisation's brand values. It considers the authenticity of companies, going beyond marketing messages to what people DO.
fe3 consulting's model synthesises several strands of recent research in marketing and human resource management and adds fe3 consulting's own research and experience of what works in more than 100 clients.
